LDA’s 57th Annual International Conference

A licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois, Dr. Dathan Paterno owns and operates Park Ridge Psychological Services. Dr. Dathan Paterno also remains active in his professional community and holds membership in the Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA), which will hold its next Annual International Conference from February 17-20, 2020.

The LDA’s 57th Annual International Conference will take place at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Florida. With a theme of Building Connections: Making Equity Accessible, the conference will emphasize the importance of forming connections among all attendees and will include opportunities for attendees to network with representatives from colleges, schools, and vendors of products related to educating those with learning disabilities.

This year’s opening keynote presentation will be delivered by John B. King, Jr., the president and chief executive officer of The Education Trust. The conference will continue with a variety of sessions on specific learning disabilities and information for educators who work with special populations. Session titles include Student Emotional and Academic Distress through the Lens of Trauma; Accommodations for High Stakes Tests: What You Need to Know; and Motivating Struggling Readers to Improve Fluency and Comprehension.
